14 Days western Kenya budget safari is a safari that gives you the best budget and an opportunity to explore many parks in the western of Kenya. It gives you the opportunity to visit places like masai mara saiwa swamp, mount Elgon and Kakamega forest in the most affordable way.
Day 1: Nairobi to western Kenya.
You shall be picked at the destination of your choice in Nairobi and at the planned tie by both you and the company. You shall use 4x4 wheel drive van that shall stop over at a view point where you shall be able to view the walls of the Great Rift Valley. You shall later continue with the journey where you shall arrive at night, where dinner and overnight shall b I the lodge.
Day 2: Journey to Masai mara
You shall start by visiting masai mara which is located in western Kenya. You shall go to the camp booked for you where you shall stay for 2 nights. You shall start with a game drive that shall enable you see various animals. You shallbe able to view animals like the lions, leopards, cheetahs buffalos and many more. You shall have your lunch and you shall continue with the game drive. Dinner and overnight shall be in the camp.
Day 3: Maasai mara full day.
You shall go for the morning game drive where if lucky, you shall view the lions trying to catch other animals for food. Later you shall embark for breakfast in the camp. After breakfast, you shall go to view the migration of the wildebeest from masai mara to Serengeti forest as it is the 8th wonder of the world. You shall embark for lunch and go for another game drive where you shall be able to view different kinds of birds and learn how animas live there. Dinner and overnight shall be in the camp.
Day 4: Maasai mara to Kakamega forest
You shall go for the morning game drive having taken your breakfast. You shall later start the journey to Kakamega forest where you shall arrive in the evening at the lodge booked for you for dinner and overnight. You shall take your lunch and relax in the lodge after the long journey as you wait for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Kakamega forest full day.
You shall take your breakfast and you shall carry packed lunch. You shall go for the first game drive in Kakamega forest where you shall be able to see different kind of creatures. Kakamega forest has got over 400 species of butterflies making it a beautiful scene as butterflies are known for beauty.it has got mammals like bush pig, bush buck, mongoose, squirrels, porcupines, monkeys, baboons and many more.
Dinner and overnight shall be in the camp.
Day 6: Kakamega forest full day
You shall go for the morning game drive and embark for breakfast. You shall go for the bird watching as Kakamega has got a wide variety of birds. You shall go for lunch and later in the evening you shall go for rock climbing and hiking. Your dinner and overnight shall be in the camp.
Day 7: Kakamega to Ruma
You shall start by taking your breakfast. You shall later go for the last game drive in Kakamega forest. You shall start the journeny to Ruma park where you shall reach in the evening. Ruma Park is also known as the dramatic valley of the roan antelope and Oribi. This is because it has the rare Roan antelopes, in wide numbers. You shall go for the first game drive and later embark for dinner and overnight in the booked camp for you.
Day 8: Ruma park full day.
You shall go for the morning game drive and later embark for breakfast. You shall go for game drives and you shall view different kinds of animals like the hyenas, African leopards and many more. You shall take photographs of animals as you view them. Overnight and dinner shall be and the camp.
Day 9: Ruma to ndere island
You shall have the morning breakfast and go for the last game drives before leaving for Ndere island. Ndere island is an island also known as the island of serenity of beauty that has got over 100 species of birds. You shall arrive in the evening and you shall have the first evening game drive. You shall later embark for dinner and overnight in the camp.
Day 10: Ndere island full day.
You shall go for the morning game drive where you shall be able to view animals like the hippos, crocodiles, baboons, warthogs, zebras and many more. You shall embark for breakfast as you prepare your self for the hiking and bird watching. You shall go for scenic and after your lunch you shall for corporate events and walking in the island. Dinner and overnight shall be in the camp.
Day 11: Ndere to Mount Elgon
You shall go for the last game drive in ndere island where you shall visit parts you may have not visited and looking for other kinds of animas you may not have seen. You shall start the journey to mount elgon where you shall arrive in the camp and you shall relax as you take your lunch as well as waiting for dinner. Overnight shall be in the camp.
Day 12:Mount Elgon full day.
You shall go for the morning game drive having taken your breakfast. You shall be able to view animals like the antelopes, elephants, different kinds of birds and many more. You shall go for mountain climbing and rock climbing, after you take your lunch. You shall also go for gam viewing and scenic after your lunch. Dinner and overnight shall be in the camp.
Day 13: Mount Elgon to saiwa swamp.
You shall go for another game drive and optional rock climbing or mountain climbing, before leaving for saiwa swamp. You shall arrive at saiwa swamp in the evening and you shall go to the camp for your lunch. Saiwa swamp is also known as the sanctuary of the sitatunga antelope. It is known for that variety of antelope known as sitatunga. You shall go for the evening game drive where you shall view the antelopes and later embark in the camps for dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Saiwa to Nairobi.
Since the distance from saiwa to Nairobi is very long, you shall not go for the morning game drive. you shall have your breakfast as you prepare ourselves to leave for Nairobi. You shall stop over again at the view point where you shall view the Great Walls of the Rift Valley. You shall be dropped back in Nairobi at the place you were picked.
