20 Days Kenya Tanzania birds’ wilderness safari

20 days Mt Kenya, lake Nakuru, lake Bogoria, Maasai Mara, lake Naivasha, Amboseli, Tarangire, Serengeti, lake Manyara  birds’ wilderness safari we shall spend the days in bird watching which is a form of wildlife observation in which the observation is a recreational activity. It can be done through a visual enhancement element like binoculars and telescopes, by listening for bird sounds or by watching them.

 Day    1 Nairobi to Mt Kenya national park

You will be picked at the airport by our driver guide followed by a short briefing before departure. Enjoy a relax scenic drive to Mt Kenya the second highest mountain in Africa. You will arrive in time for lunch, afternoon birding along the trails we hope to see olive and bronze-naped pigeon, slivery checked horn bills, and ruppels robbin chat, mountain green bull, stuhlman’s starling and maybe vereaux eagle owl.

Day 2 full day in Mt Kenya

An early breakfast is followed by a morning game drive to Mt Kenya lower slopes through the numerous vegetation zones. We will return in the afternoon in the riverine forest black duck, hartlaubs turacos, crowed hornbill, paradise are likely to be seen.

Day   3 Mt Kenya to lake Nakuru national park

Early in the morning after breakfast departure to the Great Rift Valley onto lake Nakuru national park arriving in time for lunch. Here we will enjoy standing game drives and bird walks, it is famous for flamingo, water birds and pelicans.

Day     4   Nakuru to Lake Baringo

We will depart Nakuru national park for Lake Baringo. We will enjoy a guided bird walk around this fresh water lake with over 450 bird species. Birds that are found in this area include curly crested helmet shrikes, silver bird, grey silver headed silverbill, grey headed bush strike and northern masked weaver. Take a boat trip on the lake or visit the njemps tribe and see more birds

Day    5 lake Baringo to Masai Mara

Early morning breakfast followed by a departure with bird viewing enroute. Drive to Masai Mara arriving in time for late lunch. Masai Mara reserve is famous for the big cat’s wildebeest migration an Evening game drive for bird watching in the paradise of the animals.Dinner and overnight shall be at the lodge

Day   6 Masai Mara full day

We shall spend the full day in bird watching. Masai Mara is an endemic with even the seven globally threatened species which include Madagascar  pond heron, pallid harrier, Jacksons window bird, red throated tit, grey crested helmet shrike, corncrake and lesser kestrel. In addition to bird watching look out for the big five, predators as they roam freely in this game reserve.

Day   7   Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha which lies also on the floor of the Great Rift Valley a bird watchers paradise. A boat trip around the lake with a stop at the crescent island provides more chances of spotting the birds. Many species of bird and Palearctic waders occur in lunch numbers. This lake is known for its high density of Africans fish eagles which rest in the surrounding acacia woodland.

Day   8   lake Naivasha to Amboseli

Early breakfast will be followed by check out of your lodge. Optional visit to the towering cliff of the hells gate gorge. We will have our lunch en-route arrive in Amboseli in the evening, if time will permit us we will go for evening game drive.

Day   9 Amboseli bird watching

We shall start the day by magnificent view of Mt Kilimanjaro before the sunrise and after set up for a bird wildlife drive. Mt Kenya is the highest fee standing mountain in the world and is snow caped at the peaks. Amboseli boosts off a rich bird life with over 400 bird species recorded, including the globally threated Madagascar pond heroin, lesser flamingo, lesser kestrel the shoe bill and many more.

Day     10   Amboseli to Tsavo west

Early morning breakfast followed by a check out from the lodge short bird viewing enroute. We shall arrive at the lodge in time for lunch; we shall have a rest before we go the evening bird drive. Over 500 species of bird have being recorded in this park like the African finfoot, African darter, African egret, saddle billed stork, white headed vulture, martial eagle, violet wood hoopoe and many more.

Day 11 Tsavo to Nairobi to Arusha

Early in the morning bird drive enroute and depart from Tsavo to catch up a flight to Tanzania Arusha. You will arrive at the airport before noon and take a flight to Arusha. You will arrive late in the afternoon and you will be picked by our tour representative from the airport and you shall be transferred to the hotel. You will have you late lunch and after relax in the hotel.

Day 12 Tarangile national parks

After breakfast you will be transferred to Tarangile National park. It is the largest national park in Tanzania located at the Manyara region. It is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab tress. The park has over 550 bird species and we shall spend the day in bird watching with a picnic lunch break.

Day    13 full day in Tarangile national park

After breakfast enjoy an adventure for a full day game drive in Tarangile national park with a picnic lunch. We may have some lucky chances of seeing zebra, elephant, mongoose, giraffe, bush buck, impala, dik diks, warthog, lion, leopard, cheater and reedbuck. We will also see some of the bird s like the yellow necked spurfowl, northern white crowned shrike, black necked weaver, red billed on bill and pygmy falcon and many others.

Day    15 Tarangile to Serengeti national park

After breakfast depart from Tarangile national park via Ngorongoro crater. Serengeti is the oldest and the most popular national park in Tanzania. It is also a home for 1100 bird species, here we will be able to see some different types of bird the secretary birds, superb starling

 Day 16   full day in Serengeti national park

After breakfast we shall proceed to in the park with a packed lunch for a full day bird drive. We shall spend the day in bird viewing.

Day 17 transfer to Lake Manyara national park

After breakfast you go for morning game drives were you might see sightings that we have missed during the previous game drives. After we will head to Lake Manyara national park which is the most beautiful park you might come across on your safari in Tanzania

Day 18 full day in Lake Manyara

Have breakfast and after go for morning game drive within the park. You will view many birds and animal species like the hippo, antelopes and many more. In the afternoon you will spent it for leisure like going for nature walks, night game drive in the evening.

Day   19 full day in lake Manyara

After breakfast you go for morning game drives were you might see sightings that we have missed during the previous game drives. Afternoon you will spend it for leisure.

Day   20   Tanzania to Kenya

After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and depart to your specific destinations. You will be dropped at the airport to catch up with your flight to mark the end of the safari
