4 days Tsavo National Park Safari.
Tsavo national park is located in Taita Taveta County in the coastal province of Kenya. The park is the oldest and the largest in Kenya. It is a semi-arid park named after the river Tsavo crossing through the park. The park is divided in to two; Tsavo west national park and Tsavo east national park by the Nairobi-Mombasa highway and the railway crossing through it.
Tsavo east national park is located in the south west of Kenya near Voi town. The park is flat and has grassland semi-arid settings. It has a river Galana crossing through it, Lugard falls, Yatta plateau and the big five wild animals.
Tsavo west is located in the coastal province of Kenya.it is mountainous and is a lot wetter since it has swamps, Mzima springs and lake Jipe. The park hosts the big five and other animals and bird species in its woodland and grassy settings.
Day 1: Nairobi –Tsavo East National Park.
Leave Nairobi city hotel early in the morning for an adventurous safari .The journey will take approximately 7 hours 38 minutes stopping at Mtito Andei for lunch and some rest you shall arrive in the afternoon. Check into a budget lodge before proceeding with the evening safari.
Explore the parks largest lava flow in the world, the Yatta plateau. The grassland is home for great number of wild animals. You will be able spot the world greater mammals, herds of grazing dust- red elephants, rhino, lions, leopards, gerenuk, and pods of hippos, crocodile and the prolific birdlife.
After the evening safari, you shall head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tsavo East National Park full day.
After taking the delicious breakfast, start the morning drive at the park. Taking with you packed snacks for lunch, Spend the day exploring the parks natural beauty and features of volcanism. The morning drive will give you a better chance to spot the Tsavo lions, bushbaby, spotted hyenas, bushbuck, gazelles, elephants and others. The park has a breathtaking Lugard waterfall with a series of white rapid falls on river Galana flowing through the park.
Take a picnic lunch in the wilderness as you enjoy the beautiful serenity of the flat Yatta plateau. Thereafter, embark with the evening safari as you search out for the animals out in the wild.
Day 3: Tsavo West National Park full day.
In the morning, leave for Tsavo West national park a 2 hours 38 minutes’ drive. Tsavo west national park is well known for its beautiful topography with evidences of volcanic features. The lava flows absorb rainfall water. Take a boat ride at Lake Jipe a source of water for the animals, hence a good chance to see the wild animals as they drink water. .Visit the Mzima springs to explore its natural beautiful site. Its source of water is a natural reservoir from underneath the Chyulu hills to the west of the park
Take lunch at the lodge then return for a game drive. For the evening game
Drive, explore for the wilderness in search of the wild animals ,the rugged wilderness will give you a spectacular game viewing experience. The park has elephants, giraffes, African lion, rhinos, cheetahs, buffalos, and prolific bird species
The park has great views of the whole plateau as well as the scenic view of Serengeti national park in Tanzania.
Check in at a lodge or a permanent tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Tsavo West National Park to Nairobi.
Take bush breakfast at the lodge. Check out and leave the park for Nairobi for the end of tour.
You shall be taken back to your hotel for the end of tour.
