5 Days best of Mt Elgon national park safari

5 Days best of touring Mt Elgon national park safari shall be spend our safari touring Mt Elgon. The safari will be more organized with good accommodations and delicious meals. Mount Elgon is well known for activities like the game viewing, camping, and hiking, and mountain climbing, rock climbing and scenic. You shall be able to view animals like Elephants, Buffalo, Antelope, Duiker, Forest monkey, Hyena and may more.

 Day 1   Nairobi to Mt .Elgon

Transfer from Nairobi heading towards Nakuru via Eldoret to Kitale by van. You shall stopover for your lunch before arriving at Mount Longonot. We shall arrive late in the evening.

Dinner and overnight shall be at the camp.

Day 2   Full day in Mt Elgon national park

After breakfast, leave the lodge for your morning game drive. You will enjoy being amongst the parks primates, birds and rare tree species .Then return to the lodge for your lunch. After lunch, there will be a short nature walk to the nearest caves where you can spot Genet cats.  Along the trails are many monkeys, birds and rare trees such as Elgon teak and Elgon olive.

Dinner and overnight shall be at the Camp.

Day 3   Full day in Mt .Elgon National park

After breakfast at you will be joined by rangers who will accompany you to Kiptum Caves. Popularly known as the 'famous Elephant caves' where Buffaloes and Elephants visits to lick minerals. You will be lucky to have your lunch near the caves as you watch the herds of elephants.. After lunch have your nature walk and return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Full day in Mt Elgon national   park

                     

The whole day will be spent in exploring the park.  Elephants and buffalo can be found on the slopes. Antelopes, duiker, as well forest monkeys, including the black-and-white colobus and blue monkey will be spotted. The park hosts around 144 bird species. Mount Elgon is home to at least 144 bird species. Of particular interest are Jackson's francolin, the eastern bronze-naped pigeon, Hartlaub's turaco, the Tacazze sunbird and the endangered lammergeyer. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp

Day 5 Mt Elgon-Nairobi

 There will be a short walk after breakfast where after saying goodbye to Mt Elgon then you will connect your vehicle for the transfer to Nairobi
