5 Days Aberdare Ark, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara Safari

The safari offers three wildlife hotpots in Kenya. Highlights include; the Big Five, scenic landscape of the central agricultural highlands, view of Mt Kenya, forest lodge in the Aberdares, scenic Lake Nakuru, the world renown Masai Mara and the panorama of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 1: Aberdare National Park

After Breakfast you will depart for the Aberdare National park. Arrive at your base hotel, the Aberdare Country Club, in time for lunch. Aberdare country club is located on the slopes of Mweiga Hill just, 190 kilometers from Nairobi in Mweiga. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Ark Tree Lodge in the Aberdare National Park located only 17 Kilometers inside the forest. Here you will watch wildlife from the comfort of the hotel. The Aberdare National Park animals include the Lion, Leopard, African elephant, African Hunting Dog, Giant Forest Hog, Bushbuck, Mountain Reedbuck, Waterbuck, Cape Buffalo, Suni, Side-Striped Jackal, Eland, Duikers Olive Baboon, Black and White Colobus Monkey and Sykes Monkey. Rarer sightings include those of the Golden Cat and the Bongo - an elusive forest antelope that lives in the bamboo forest

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast you will leave for Nakuru. You will arrive in time for lunch. Have lunch at the hotel. After lunch and rest proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park which is also known as a bird watchers paradise. Millions of flamingos are found on Lake Nakuru turning the lake pink. It is also home to the endangered black rhino, big cats and other wild life. Back to the hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Masai Mara

This is the climax of the safari. Depart Nakuru early in the morning and drive to Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch. Upon arrival you will check in the lodge have lunch and relax and thereafter you will take your first thrilling evening game drive in the Masai Mara game reserve, one of East Africa's top safari destinations. The Mara reserve incorporates 1510 km² of incredible, wide-open landscapes and fertile reverie woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal; it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife. Returning from your first foray into Masai Mara you will have dinner and relax under the stars, falling asleep to the sounds of the bush.

Day 4: Masai Mara

After breakfast proceed for whole day game viewing in Kenya's finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Our morning and afternoon game drives take us in search of Africa's Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinged sunset’s well-worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot, but reasonably common.

Day 5: Nairobi

You will leave Masai Mara after breakfast. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon and be dropped at your city hotel or airport.
