Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Naivasha
On this morning we start your 5 Days Naivasha Masai Mara Safari by pick up from the hotel and then depart overland to papyrus-fringed Lake Naivasha, a cool and peaceful escape from Nairobi’s big-city bustle. With over 400 species of bird, this freshwater lake is a birding Paradise. Along the lake’s fabled waters, we are bound to see some of the area’s more intriguing species such as hippos, giraffes, buffalo and even the arboreal Colobus monkey. Lake Naivasha lies in the Great Rift Valley and the name derives from the local Masai name Nai’posha, meaning “rough water” because of the sudden storms which can arise. After lunch we visit Crescent Island — a private sanctuary, where you can walk beneath yellow-barked acacias in search of giraffes, wildebeest, impala, dik diks, Thompson’s and grant’s gazelles, elands, water bucks and countless bird species. An optional boat ride on the lake reveals many water bird species and schools of Hippos. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
Day 2: Lake Naivasha-Hells gate national park
Leave your hotel early morning after breakfast and then proceed to Hell's Gate National Park. Hire your bicycles near the gate with the help of your guide. Explore the park while cycling. There are many zebras, antelopes, and other animals. You will stop at the picnic site where you'll leave your bicycles and proceed to the gorges with a Maasai guide. Leave the park and drive to Lake Naivasha for an optional boat ride followed by lunch in between. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After a leisure breakfast at Naivasha Sopa Lodge, depart overland to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve-jewel of Kenya’s Game Park. You will arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa lodge .after lunch proceed for a game drive. The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s finest and most outstanding wildlife sanctuary where gentle rolling grassland ensures animals are never out of sight. The sensation of the great wildebeest migration between July and October is unparalleled. The wildlife is far from being confined within the Reserve boundaries and an even larger area extends beyond the game Reserve. Centuries of close association with the wildlife has resulted in an almost symbiotic relationship where wildlife and Maasai people live in peace with one another. After lunch, explore the Reserve on a late evening game drive. No matter how much you have thought about Africa, this is more than you expected—the big five-Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Cape buffalo are in abundance. Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge
Day 4: Explore Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Today we will be spending in the vast eco-system of the Mara searching for the big five and much more. You also have an optional balloon safari which is a perfect way of seeing savannah grassland teaming up with wildlife and once you land, champagne breakfast awaits you. Game viewing is great from the air with the opportunity for beautiful pictures. After game drive back to the lodge for a hot shower and later you will be served sumptuous Dinner. Day 5: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi
Early morning wake-up call organized to undertake, sadly a final morning game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve returning to your safari lodge for breakfast. Check out from your accommodation and drive to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi transfer to your city hotel or airport.
