Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara

You will be picked up from your hotel after the breakfast, then depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, via the view-point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for Lunch. After lunch proceed to Masai Mara, on arrival you will have your game drive along the way as you proceed to the Serena Lodge, the Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. You will have game drive till twilight when you will arrive in Serena Lodges for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day

After breakfast proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. The whole day will be spent exploring the Masai Mara plains, the day will cover the Mara River where the great migration takes place every year. You will have your lunch at this point at the hippo pool, looking for hippos and crocodiles, you will also be escorted by the rangers along the river banks for a short walking tour along the Mara River, there after you will be picked by the driver and proceed for another whole afternoon game viewing as you proceed back to the Lodge.

Day 3: Explore Masai Mara

Awake to the sounds of the African bush and have an early breakfast. Depart on a full day safari to look for the Big Five in the Masai Mara National Reserve (with picnic lunch). Return to Lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Discover more of Masai Mara

Full Day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5/ trailing the wildebeest migration Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Optional hot air balloon trip is offered at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Which is the perfect way of seeing the savannah plains teaming up with wildlife. Return to the Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Masai Mara-Nairobi

On this day you will have an early morning game drive before the breakfast, then proceed for the early game drive which will give you an opportunity to capture the morning kills from the big 5. Then return to Serena Lodges for full breakfast, then check out the Lodge and depart to Nairobi arriving later that day with a drop off to the hotel or back to the airport.
