Day 1: Nairobi-Samburu National Reserve

After a meet and greet in the morning, you will depart for Samburu National Reserve. Samburu National Reserve is a game reserve on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. On the other side of the river is the Buffalo Springs National Reserve, which attracts wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. This area is rich in abundance with a number of rare species, such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and beisa oryx, also referred to as the “Samburu Special Five.” You will arrive in time for lunch at the Lodge/camp. From there, you will proceed on an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Later, you will drive back to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve

Go on an early-morning game drive and then return to the lodge/camp for breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning at your leisure or go on an optional visit to a nearby village. Return to the lodge/camp for lunch and some coffee or tea before departing on another game drive. Return in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve-Mount Kenya

After breakfast, you will drive to Ol Pejeta near Mount Kenya. Ol Pejeta is East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuary and the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees. It also has one of the highest predator densities in Kenya. The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plans will guarantee you an unforgettable safari experience. You will arrive in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Serena Luxury Camp. Later in the afternoon, you go on a game drive within the Sweetwaters Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Return in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4: Mount Kenya-Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, which lies in central Kenya, 140 kilometers northwest of Nairobi in the Nakuru district of the Rift Valley Province. The ecosystem here is comprised of the lake, forest, and bushy grasslands. It supports a wide array of wildlife, although the flamingos and other water birds are the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals, including the white rhino.

You will arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive in the park. Return in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay at the camp.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park-Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart for the Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves. The Mara is situated in southwest Kenya, and together with Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, it forms Africa’s most diverse and most spectacular ecosystem. It is globally famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards and cheetahs, and the annual migration of zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and wildebeest to and from the Serengeti every year from July to October. You will arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch, enjoying a game drive en route. After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive and later return for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Today, you can choose between two itineraries. First, eat breakfast and then depart with a packed lunch in hand for a full-day game drive in the park. You will be in search of the Great Migration and the Big Five. Return in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay. Your second option will be to go on an early-morning game drive. Return for breakfast, freshen up, and then go out into the park again. Eat lunch and then spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. Enjoy another game drive in the evening in search of more animals. Return in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Today, you can choose between three itineraries. The first option will be to go on a hot air balloon ride in the early morning. You will be picked up from your camp and transferred to the balloon launch site. There, you will meet your pilot, receive a briefing, and watch the inflation of your balloon. After the ride, you will be given a certificate. Afterward, you will drive back to the camp for breakfast and game drives.

Another option is to go on an early-morning game drive. Return for breakfast, freshen up, and then go out into the park again. Eat lunch and then spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. Perhaps you can take a swim in the pool! Enjoy another game drive in the evening in search of more animals. Return in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay. Lastly, you can eat breakfast and then depart with a packed lunch in hand for a full-day game drive. You will be in search of the Great Migration and the Big Five. Return in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 8: Maasai Mara National Reserve-Nairobi

After breakfast, you will drive back to Nairobi, where you will spend the day at your leisure (depending on your flight schedule). Later, you will be transferred to the airport or your hotel
