9 Days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha Mid-Range Luxury Safari

Day 1: Nairobi –Maasai Mara national reserve

Pick up from your hotel and be transferred to our office to meet the group members and depart for the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. You will travel via the view-point of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town for lunch and refueling. After lunch leave Narok and drive to the reserve arriving at the lodge, Check in and relax for a few minutes. Proceed for an afternoon game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver or guide. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Full-day Maasai Mara national reserve.

After breakfast proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Continue with game drive till 1800hrs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full day in Maasai Mara national reserve

A full day to explore the magic Mara, breakfast at your lodge and leave with picnic lunches for a full day of game viewing inside the Park. Search for wild game including the huge black manned lion for which Mara is famous for, splendid cheetah, African buffalo, wildebeest (gnus), zebra, leopard, grants gazelle are quite common etc. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Full day in Maasai Mara national reserve

0600hrs wake up call. Tea, coffee and cookies will be served in the lodge. Set out for an early morning game drive in the reserve. This is usually the most popular game viewing time. During the early hours temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lion, Cheetah and Leopard roam the vast grasslands in search for their next meal, it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog. Whatever the players, the spectacle of nature unfolding is always awe inspiring! Return to the lodge to enjoy your sumptuous breakfast. 10.00am full day game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full day in Maasai Mara national reserve

Whole day is devoted to game spotting. Optional excursions include a visit to a Maasai village or a hot air balloon ride that ends with a champagne breakfast on the plains. All meals and overnight in the lodge.

Day 6: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru national park

A short morning game viewing drive may be   scheduled for the early morning. Later depart the   for the lake Nakuru national park.  On the route to Lake Nakuru National Park there shall be stops on scenic point’s .Afternoon bird and game viewing drives around the Lake Nakuru. An opportunity to visit the rhino sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Full day in Lake Nakuru national park.

After breakfast you will go for a game drive where you will spot animals like lions , leopards, Rothschild's giraffes, black rhinos, elands, hyena, mongooses , African wild cats, civet cats, silver-backed jackals ,bat-eared foxes ,impalas, buffalos, zebras, warthogs, black and white colobus and Cheetahs and birds like the flamingoes , white pelicans, cormorants , African fish eagles, white winged black tern, avocet, black winged stilt, cattle egret, great white egret, ducks, hammerkop, yellow billed stork, sacred and Hadada ibis, Egyptian goose, blacksmith plover, sandpipers, grey heron, African spoonbill, African snipe, king fisher’s and African Jacana, ostrich, secretary bird, marabou stork, ground hornbill, Guinea fowls, starlings. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 8: Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha national park.

After breakfast you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific bird-life including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape Buffalo and Waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline–enjoy a hot lunch and drive to Naivasha–you have an option to take a boat ride in this fresh water lake to go and see hippos and fish eagles at extra cost. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: Lake Naivasha to Nairobi

After breakfast at the lodge, we leave for Nairobi. We drive slowly and make stop-overs along the way to allow you enjoy the beauty of the Great Rift Valley. We arrive in the capital city early afternoon and drop you at the place of your choice within Nairobi.
