This day will start by a hotel pick up at 7.00 Am and depart for Hell's gate. Hell's Gate is approximately 2 hours 40 minutes from Nairobi town riding along the Nakuru Highway and Naivasha road. Hell’s Gate National park is a unique park with the breathtaking scenery, complete with towering cliffs, gorges, rock towers, volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam, make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa.
This is the only park where visitors are allowed to walk among the wild, ride the bicycle, hiking as there are no predators at the park. Optional activities are there for you depending on your choice. You may choose an option of bicycle riding where you can hire the bicycle at the entrance or decided to proceed with game drive. If you don’t like riding you may also choose walking or you can do both activities .On your way you will see wild animals like antelopes, impala, zebras, buffaloes, and giraffe among others. Since it is a very open place the buffaloes tend to hide under the shades and the rest of the wild animals can only be seen in a long close distance because of the park nature. You can have the packed lunch at the picnic place during which you can watch bamboos and monkeys.
At the gorges, you will be surrounded by beautiful scenery of Fischer’s Tower, the Central Tower, and the park’s gorge. Fischer’s Tower is one of the park’s many popular rock climbing sites that came to be as a result of volcanic activity and was named after German explorer named Gustav Fischer. The beautiful gorges of the hells gates is believed to have a devils bed, devils shower (water inlet) and devils kitchen hence the name Hells Gate. You shall also learn the history of the Masai people since it is owned by Masai people. There is also visit to a swimming spa which is optional. The park also earns a history to have hosted a movie cast in 2003 called the Tomb Rider 2.
Optional boat riding activity at Lake Naivasha where you will enjoy the boat ride from the lake to the Crescent Island. You will be able to spot the animals as they graze by the lakes shore as well as the greater and lesser flamingos.
